BASEBALL STUD

I was reflecting last week on the season in my life when Calli was about 2 or 2 1/2 and remembering how I just couldn't wait to take her to the first movie, we went way before she was really ready and I couldn't wait to sign her up for her first dance class. She was barely even 3 when she entered her first dance class. Then the second child comes around, Colson, and I think would it be bad if I didn't let him enroll in anything extra until he's in the 7th grade? I KNOW, I KNOW...not what a supermom should say and/or think...but then again, I'm not supermom! But their schedule can really run a gal crazy.

So, Colson started baseball a couple of weeks ago. We've played t ball for two seasons with the Y and this year we stepped it up and joined the Willis Youth Baseball League. Fall Ball they call it. 'Way too many games ball' is what I think it should be called. We had our first game last Monday and tonight we just played our 5th. Throw that into Calli's crazy schedule and you have an underpaid taxi driver driving around a gas guzzling machine everywhere but home. One day I'll post my schedule NOT for you all to see (because I KNOW all of you do the same thing without complaining and for those with more than two kids or are a single parent....WELL GOD BLESS YOU REALLY!) but to document for my kids. I know my mom used to do the same thing for Christina and I.

So, his pal Jake is on his team and so really it's just a play time for him and Jake. The coaches often separate them on the field which is very smart of them. It's very cute though. And tonight I really think Colson was much more into the game and what he should be doing. The kids were cheering each other on from the dugout with their chants and it was quite cute for a group of 5 year olds.

Here's a few pics from his first game
Colson is #3 just like his daddy was growing up
This is baseball ready isn't it?
