The other night Colson and I were at the kitchen bar reviewing his spelling words. Wes was in ear distance sitting on the couch. I said "spell penguins". Colson says "P-E-N-G-U-I-N-S". Great and I sent him off to brush his teeth! After Colson was out of hearing distance Wes says "I didn't know how to spell penguins".
I've said before that Wes is not the best speller. I have also said that I thought Colson was going to follow in his footsteps but since my 7 year old can spell better than his 42 year old daddy there may be hope.
