So, I had to go to Dallas this week for a quick trip and decided to plan a little mini reunion with some of my old Chi-O friends. We met Thursday night for a bite to eat and a chance to catch up on all our lives post A&M! It was so good to see each of them and I really do feel like there is no time lapsed when it's really been 16 years since we all met each other for the FIRST time! What an amazing experience to go away from your home at the age of 18 and leave all that you know including family and many friends only to be introduced to SO many other amazing people and create friends for life. No matter how often I see (or in this case don't see them) they will always be friends for life.

Here is my favorite thing about each of them (then and now) along with an old picture.
Betsy-Kind!!!! She is so sweet and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She's an encourager and always ready to listen.
Lisa-Fun! This girl is the life of the party. Always so much fun to be around, loves to laugh and loves to make others laugh.

Ashley-Happy!! Smiley!! An eternal optimist! She always tries to throw a positive spin on everything (an amazing characteristic). She also runs a close race with my friend Shellie in her concern for others and being genuine in wanting to know everything going on in your life. She's also lots of fun!
Marci-Great Listener! Marci can be a really great ear and just a very loyal friend. Always has time for you and always interested in how things really are in your life. She's also got an infectious laugh once you get her going.
There were a couple of others that couldn't come at the last minute....maybe we'll catch you next time. I love you girls and am so glad I got to hang out with you this week even if it was only for a couple of hours! We'll have to do it again when I'm in Dallas next time. Maybe next time we can go out dancing for old times sake :) Thanks for making some pretty fantastic memories with me.....particularly those 4 years at A&M.
