I'm taking a picture of him sleeping....where do you think he slept?
Home! I can't even type out the events that transpired for fear that the overwhelming calm frustration will overcome me again.
So instead I'll tell you what I was reminded that I forgot to tell you about yesterday. I witnessed once again how different boys and girls are. This years' theme was Camp Rock 2....a take off from the Disney movie Camp Rock. Each cabin was named after a tour city so there was Honolulu, Hollywood, London, etc. Colson's group was Sydney. At the beginning of chapel yesterday the camp director introduced all of the counselors and started with all the girls cabins. So Ava called out Hollywood and the counselors went screaming up to the front and the little girls in their cabin stood up jumping and screaming. They introduced each counselor and then the entire group shouted out their cabin cheer. The thought that was put into these cabin chants was very calculated. They had rhythm, rhyming words, made complete sense, talked about Jesus....they were just really cute. So all 4 girl cabins went and they ALL had cute cheers. Then it was time for the boy cabins. Sydney was first and just before their group was called out the head dude ran over to the other dudes who happened to be standing by me and they made up this really great chant since they couldn't be shown up by the girls. Wanna hear it? Counselors: "Let's hear it for Sydney" Kids: screaming and jumping up and down. Sorry dudes, you were shown up by the girls. The funniest guy cabin chant was the Hong Kong group...."We're from Hong Kong, we play ping pong cuz we're from (pause) Hong Kong. Really? That's all you guys could come up with?
