I haven't blogged in a while and for all of my stalkers out there, I am so sorry. (And I mean stalkers in the most affectionate of ways. You see I am one myself) Anyways, let's just say that I have been trying to hack into my own accounts this week and have not been successful. For those of you that have gmail or a google blog (like this one), you can feel safe that it would be hard to compromise your account. After my iphone was stolen a few weeks ago, I decided to change my password to my gmail account (which is also linked to this blog) so that if the thief could still use the phone as is (which I was told he couldn't but I was just playing it safe), he wouldn't be able to see my emails anymore. I actually thought it was a really smart and easy thing to do. And it was until one day last week when I logged on, instead of going straight to my account, it was doing one of those random log ins. You know the kind where they just want you to validate your information because you haven't formally logged in in a while? In all my brilliance, I couldn't remember my new password and didn't have it written down anywhere. After a couple of days of trying, I decided to get on my blog to vent my frustration only to find that they wanted me to sign in too...UGH!!! I filled out 4 of the online forms asking detailed information about my account only to get a reply that says they don't think I'm the owner. Finally I got an email this morning saying they reset my password and the steps to get back into my account. Luckily I had my iphone to keep connected via emails but it was so frustrating because there is no place to click on that says "contact us".
Anyways, I'll try to catch up over the next few days although there hasn't been much going on. I've been keeping myself busy with crafty things for Colson's school auction that is 1 week from today. Maybe I'll post some of what we've done this week. There is one HUGE day that was missed because of my inoperative brain...yesterday was my friend Shellie's 35th birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHELLIE!

This picture was taken on our High School graduation day.
Since I've already gushed about how much I think this girl hung the moon, let me just say that we've shared LOTS OF LAUGHS over the years! I remember the first time I really tried to "make friends" with Shellie it was going into Jr. High. I made her a huge card as a good luck or congratulations for cheerleader tryouts. I think it was the size of a posterboard folded in half. She probably thought I was a dork but I wanted to do something nice to become her friend.
I have spent many a night at her house from then on and everytime I would wake up with my eyes swolen shut and sneezing nonstop as I was so allergic to all of the animals in and around her house. But I always wanted to come back the next time. I also remember her vivid explanation of how her wedding was going to go down and the ring that her future husband was going to buy her. Now granted we were in the 9th grade (or maybe younger) so when we talked of these things, it was all in a futuristic fairytale way. But with Shellie's standards at the time she was going to need to marry Bill Gates's son. We would laugh out loud as she told us she was going to get engaged in Paris and have a 5 carat wedding ring (or something to that effect) and when you asked her what if her fiance couldn't afford all of that she would say "Well then he's not the one I am to marry" Now you must realize that her family is nothing like that so I don't know where it was coming from. And I must also say that she IS NOTHING LIKE THAT NOW! She didn't get her proposal in France nor does she have a 5 carat ring and I will tell you that NONE of that matters but at the time in that little 14 year olds mind...that was the way to go!
I've spent a lot of fun times with her and am VERY excited about the new addition that will be coming on Monday which you can bet I'll be posting about.
Happy Birthday Shellie! I hope you had an awesome day!
