The Day of Love

It's tax season...or more affectionately known as grumpy season. I don't expect alot out of Wes this time of year in terms of extra effort gestures in showing his love. But this Valentine's Day I was very impressed with his over and above. He drove WAY out of the way....like 2 hours....to go to my favorite store in Carmine Texas  called Texas Trash and Treasures to pick out something for me. It was a cute welded heart and the thoughtfulness made the day sweet! Even sweeter was when Colson climbed in my bed at 4:30 in the morning, snuggled really close to me, put his hand over my back and whispered in my year "Happy Valentine's Day...I love you!"

Calli and Wes had bought out the dollar store and had lots of fun doing it to buy me all kinds of goodies. Of course Colson was the only one with a party this year because once you hit middle school....bye bye parties, which doesn't make Calli happy. We celebrated in 2nd grade with banana splits and I brought up a little game of Valentine Jingo.

Colson has a secret Valentine in his class. Taylor, the mother hen of the whole class and the girl who asks for extra work to bring home,  has a big crush on Colson. Colson I think has a crush on her because he acts like this around her.

He DID NOT want his picture with her. But he was fine taking pictures with other girls in the class.
