MOVING ON TO 7TH GRADE

I could not be more proud of Calli and the closing of her first year in Middle School. She not only finished with straight A's for the entire year but she did it with ease. She studied diligently, turned in all her work on time, completed all her projects in plenty of time and was an overall outstanding student. She was loved by her teachers (of course) and received recognition at the awards ceremony the last week of school. Each teacher picked 3 students from all of their classes that they teach and Calli received an award from her Technology/Computers teacher, Mrs. Curry and her Language Arts teacher, Mrs. Blackwelder.

In Middle School things aren't quite as laid back as they are in elementary. They actually do work, have tests and have to be present. Her last day of school was her only real free day. They did a talent show starting at 7:30 in the morning. As part of the cheerkats, the team did a dance and cheer as part of the talent show. They did great! I videoed it but somehow it didn't record. Go figure. That's what I get for trying to video and take still shots at the same time...all while trying to watch too.  And then as you can see from below the still shots didn't turn out either...a little blurry. But I love the smile that she always has on her face when she's performing.
This is Calli and her big sister, Darian. So sweet!

So we closed out 6th grade with very few mishaps, a great outlook on school. The transition was seamless.
