BIRTHDAY'S LAST A MONTH IN OUR HOUSE

If it's your birthday (everyone except Wes who says noone ever remembers his birthday-poor baby) we celebrate....then we celebrate again...then we celebrate again...and sometimes one more time! On Colson's birthday he was awoken by my beautiful wake up call...and a kick in the head.

I forgot to sing to Jax but Colson reminded me it was his birthday too. How wild is it that he has the same birthday as his crazy dog?

I asked Colson before school was out what he wanted to do for his birthday party and he said take 3 friends out to our barn in Huntsville when it was completed and spend the night. I asked Colson at the first of June what he wanted to do for his birthday party and he repeated the barn answer. I asked Colson 2 weeks ago what he wanted to do for his birthday party and he again talked up the barn scenario. So what happens when he wakes up on June 26? He decided he wants a birthday party at Pump It Up. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? And he didn't understand why I couldn't throw one together that day...at pump it up.

So to get out my frustration and because I believe in being healthy on your birthday, we went to the gym. I enrolled Calli and Colson in a kids program at the gym where they work out with a personal trainer while I'm in my class. They can go as many as 6 times a week and it's $20 a month. Sometimes they have 2 or 3 other kids with them and sometimes it's just them. On his birthday, the normal girl wasn't there and it was just Colson who got paired with the head trainer. As I looked out my class window occassionally, I couldn't help but laugh. I could tell he was getting worked hard. He'd crack a smile every once in a while though so I knew he wasn't in collapse mode. When we left he said "Uh, I think that guy thought I was in College. That was way too hard". Suck it up big boy...it's good for you!

Calli was in Austin with my sister, Scott and Hudson having a grand time so it was just me and Colson for the day. After we left the gym, I went and picked up Karson and we later headed down to Main Event for some laser tag, bowling and video games. Colson has a hard time losing. The first game he beat Karson and was all giddy.

The second game he was losing about 3 frames in and completely had a pouting meltdown. And ended up losing....BIG! Wes says it's a great quality to have because that shows he's competitive. I think it's one of the most annoying qualities EVER.

Here are some of the happier moments of his day.....

That night we met my mom and Cam (who was left behind by his loving family who wen to Austin), and the Schuberts at Wild Ginger for a little Hibachi action.

Tonight we celebrated Cam (who turned 1 on June 22), Colson and Hudson's (who turns 4 on July 14) birthday at Lupe Tortilla while my dad was in town. Surprisingly Cam didn't scream when they put whipped cream on his nose.

And I'm pretty sure these chipmunk cheeks mean the birthday surprise was delish!

And then we had to take family pictures because we need pictures of my dad before he kicks the bucket. LOL! That's what he says.
