PINE COVE

I think it's funny that they have to send out email reminders to the parents on Friday to remember to pick up their child. Has someone really forgotten their camper? I'm hoping that maybe someone was just unsure of the time at some point and maybe came too late. Surely that's it!

We dropped Calli off at camp, didn't see her for 5 days...picked her up on Saturday and then she left again Monday with my sister. The rest of the family was supposeed to leave on that Wednesday when Calli was coming home to go to a baseball tournament in Lake Charles but at the last minute the tournament got cancelled. Anyways, all that to say, we didn't see Calli much to get to hear all about camp. But I did hear lots of stories on the way home...even though she had an ear infection. She went with an ear infection and took antibiotics the whole week at camp and when I picked her up she said her ear hurt on when you touched it which means swimmers ear. Probably from all the nasty lake water. So I called Dr. Ves on the way home and he called in some swimmers ear drops that were ready for my pickup when I pulled into Conroe 2 hours later.

Calli had a great week despite the small number of girls in her cabin. Her counselor, Don't text and dive,  was sweet and Calli said she really liked her but she wasn't her favorite. But she quickly corrected me when I mentioned to someone that she didn't really like her counselor that "she did like her, she just wasn't her favorite".

Her recognition for the week was
Calli is amiable, easily relating to her peers. She is enthusiastic,
remaining cheerful in various circumstances. Callis is steadfast
      in her words and actions"
