CHEERKATS

School got out on a Thursday. The kids and I left that day for a fun one night stay at Wolf Creek Lodge in Dallas. I had planned on staying two nights but became aware of a baseball tournament the week before and had to cut it to one night so that we could be back Friday night in time to play ball Saturday morning. That's the most you'll get out of our Wolf Creek Lodge trip because I'm that far behind. Hey, we went...and it was a surprise to the kids so for 24 hours I was the coolest mom on the block.

On Monday, Calli's school cheer team started a 3 day camp at the greatest place on earth...WOODLANDS ELITE! Of course Calli was THRILLED to have camp on her home turf and felt right at home. Her sqad learned a couple of cheers, some stunts, a dance or two all for the Fall. On day two Calli was awarded "Best Flyer" for the day. And she got the same award at the Awards Ceremony for the whole week. She was excited and was hoping that the coaches might take notice and let her fly on the Senior 4 Team (at Woodlands Elite) this year but so far God doesn't want her there.

Anyways, it was a fun 3 days and good team bonding! The team got an award and the mascot got an award but it was so long ago I don't remember what they were...all the more reason to blog because I'm fairly certain that if I dont remember the details within 45 days of the event, I SURE won't remember them within 45 years of the event. **SIGH**
