A NIGHT AT THE OSCARS

 This years homecoming dance theme was "A Night At The Oscars".  Parents and cheerleaders had to be up at the school at 7 AM for a long day of decorating. Everything turned out great. The long hallway down the main hall was a little less than to our standards but it still turned out ok. I was in charge of the entrance. I spent a few weeks painting things and assembling decor, etc. It really is a lot of work but the kids always appreciate the transformation which makes it worth it.

The Senior cheerleaders didn't have to help. They got a pass. All the girls got ready at our house and I had a spread of snacks for them to munch on. Kendall Jones came to do their makeup cuz she's so perfect at that!

The group met in Teaswood to take group pictures. As you can tell this group was BIG! I hate taking pictures with Calli. Everything stresses her out. She doesn't want me taking charge because she feels like I'm bossing people around I guess but NO ONE takes charge so I get really frustrated. I take very few pictures and usually leave quickly and without saying goodbye.

They went and ate as a huge group of 24 and finally made it to the dance.

Dianne and I had a great time chaperoning. It really is a fun night,

And 800+ Willis High School kids have an absolute blast!

Calli was not happy with me because she wanted to spend the night at Carly's and I wouldn't let her because boys were staying the night there. Sorry, just a rule for me. It's SO hard navigating this parenting thing.
