MISSING OUR KJ

This would have been the final year for these 2 to cheer together. Calli started at Woodlands Elite in 4th grade. Kendall Jones came along in 7th grade. I remember her first night at the gym on a team. She was taking one of Calli's friends spots as the opposite base. She got in the car and said "I have a new base. I don't like her at all. Our bellies touched when we were stunting....gross!" That's a typical first meeting with Calli. She usually doesn't like new people. She finds everything she doesn't like about them and magnifies it. It's a really bad quality of hers BUT the good news is....within 3 or 4 meetings she usually absolutely loves you and in some cases you become her new best friend. That's exactly what happened with Kendall. Within a few weeks they were inseparable at practice and within a year or so spent a lot of time together outside of the gym. Kendall would come to our house a lot. I took her to Worlds their 8th grade year as "spectators". Calli spent time at their house a lot. She became the 4th Jones sister. We traveled with them for 3 seasons or so. Love, love, love this family! And then this year rolled around and Kendall didn't make the team. I'm still not sure as to why. She was center jumper and a great asset to the team. She did suffer in stunting but I don't see why she couldn't make the team. So since we don't see them as much anymore, and since they moved to Tomball which is closer than Beaumont where they used to live, we planned a Saturday lunch date. It was so great to see them back together again and get caught up on their lives.

I miss them
