Wow! Not sure where I've been. Well actually I do know but it's nothing to bore you with. Let's just say I haven't lost my sanity which I know was doubted by some. So we are 6 weeks into basketball season for Colson and I'm just now telling you! And we started baseball 2 weeks ago. And Calli is finishing up her cheer season on two teams. So NOW maybe you know where I've been. In all reality it's really not anything over the top as far as our schedule but we do keep busy.
Last year was Colson's first year to play basketball and he had
zero very little agression. He didn't really seem into guarding someone and he wanted to take shots but he never knew how to get open and then he couldn't even shoot very good. My friend Kandy would always tell me 'just wait until next year....he'll get it then!" And oh my goodness we have a different child on our hands. He totally gets the defense thing! Last week they had him guarding a kid that was a foot taller than him because he was so good. AND last week he took two shots and made them both! He was so excited but kept his cool.
I'm sitting in a hotel room in Dallas for a cheer weekend and I brought all my necessary tools to upload some pictures but I can't get them to show up from my SD card.....I'll figure it out and post pictures at a later date. I mentioned that baseball season had started and he's really a different kid in that sport too. He's so much better at fielding and he's always been a solid hitter. It's strange to watch their improvement just from age. We haven't picked up a glove since October and yet he's better already!
