Yep, the acorn does not fall far from the tree. I always sarcastically but not so sarcastically say that Wes has 16 hobbies….and Colson is just following in his footsteps. The kid is now obsessed with fishing. He LOVES to fish. If he's not on the boat fishing with Wes, he's fishing in the pond.
One day before church he came running into my bathroom where I was getting ready in that panic state. He had caught his first fish out of of the pond and wanted me to take a picture of it and text it to Wes who was already at church. He then put the fish in my sink for a couple of minutes to let it get air before he RAN it back down to the pond to get it back in the water so it wouldn't die. As he ran back, I went to text the picture only to find that it didn't take. So of course I was the worst.mom.ever! Darn IPhones.
