AAAACCCCHHHOOOOO!

Today we ventured out to the beautiful, infamous San Diego Zoo. Even though I sneezed 3000 times (before noon and we got there at 11) we had a great time. My favorite part was the Polar Bears. We happened to time it to when they were being fed and we happened to be right in the front when they started feeding.

This fella is 10'1" tall when he stands up like this to get his romaine lettuce.

This polar bear behind Calli was going to town on a batch of carrots.

Everyone loved the petting zoo and trying to feed all the goats, although the goats really didn't want to eat.

And then there was the skyline ride that the kids thought was fun. Colson WAS scared on this and he wasn't afraid to admit it. He did not like me getting the camera out, he was worried I was going to drop it. I guess he didn't see the bottom on our little car that would have caught the camera had I dropped it.

The last hour was all but fun. The kids had reached their meltdown point, particularly Sarah. She had reached the exhaustion level. and was screaming at the top of her lungs. She was so good at it, I'm sure people thought we were kidnapping her. When I mentioned that thought to Hilary she said "Surely people don't think I would take this thing home by choice!" Good point Hil! She was screaming in her stroller "I want out! Let me go!" And when someone would comment "Sara you're just tired lay down and go to sleep" She would scream "I'm not tired!" Really Sarah? Tired people don't curl up in the fetal position, shut their eyes and become nonresponsive do they?
After the zoo, we hit a local pizzaria with the absolute biggest pizza I have EVER seen.

And it happened to be overlooking this beautiful peir and the beach. So we let the kids play on the beach after dinner a little and of course Colson "fell in"...how convenient.

And then because we hadn't had enough junk for the day we hit up Yogurt Express where Sarah peed on the sidewalk right in front of everyone. It was an accident but it was quite comical after the prior 2 hours she had had with her kids. Well it was comical for me...not really for her...yet!

And finally I need to reveal Colson's masterpiece. He spent his "vacation allowance" on this Lego ship at LegoLand and yesterday he started assembling it and tonight he finished it. He put this together ALL BY HIMSELF. Three times I had to come over and help him look for a piece but that was it. He was very proud.

Tomorrow we are headed to LA for an overnight trip. I need my beauty sleep so I'm headed to bed....I'm gonna get "discovered" I just know it.
