I'm sure you are getting tired of all the baseball stories/pictures but I couldn't ignore these pictures. Colson's coach is a hobby photographer and during the games, he'd set his big camera up and give it to his wife to shoot action shots. These are ones she got of Colson.
But first these were two of my favorite shots of other kids.
J'Darius would do this almost every time he got up to bat. It was like he had made it to the big leagues. He'd point his bat up in the air to the left field as if to taunt them "it's coming to ya".
This picture cracked me up with this little third baseman holding Brennan at 3rd base. I think they were having a stare off.
And now the star of the show.....
And now the star of the show.....
I love the look on his face here. I can just hear him saying "wait for it...wait for it". Is he gonna catch the fly ball or not?
I love this picture. At this age they are so dependant on their coaches when running the bases. I love how he's so focused here in seeing what coach Kenneth is telling him to do.
Colson had 4 coaches in the All Star Season but these are the two that taught him everything. Coach Tommy was the head coach and he was great with the kids.
Coach Larry (my favorite) was out in the outfield with Colson so he really helped him with his skills. Teaching him how to catch balls, what to do with your glove, where to throw the ball into. Larry was great and Colson of course had him in the palm of his hand. He befriends most adults with his charm and then everything is just fun and games. I told him early on Coach Larry knows what he's doing and if he was smart he'd listen to everything he said and he could get as good as Cole (who was Larry's son).
Of course no season is complete without the trophy and Colson was awarded his this past week at the team party that we had at our house. Lots of kids swimming in the pool and no injuries...YEA!
