DARN THIS TIME OF YEAR!

AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!
That felt good! I actually did that out loud tonight and Colson came running into the room crying screaming "what? mama? mama?" He thought something had happened to me. While the scream did me no good, the laugh from his hysteria did me worlds of good. The last two weeks have been crazy, crazy and packed! Last week I traveled a lot for work. If you've never been to Texarkana, Texas and you live where I do....don't bother going. It's soooooo far! This is the third time I had been (for work) and every time I psych myself up with the ole 'it's not that far' pep talk and every time I find myself saying 'is it really this far?' So last week I was focused on work (don't tell my boss that I'm not ALWAYS focused on work) and I happened to squeeze in the cutest darn Kindergarten Christmas program around these parts. Colson was the donkey and SANG A SOLO!! He did great and when I have some spare time, I'll see about uploading the video. This means when I'm 80 and still blogging, you might see my sweet donkey of a son singing his little heart out.

The bonus was that Hudson danced his little heart out in his portion of the program. They stood on stage and busted some moves that you could tell they had been working on for weeks.

This weekend I spent all of Wes' money as I shopped the weekend away with 4 of my favorite girlfriends. This has become an annual tradition and one I look forward to every year. Laughing and just catching up with old friends is one of the sweetest parts of my awesome life! I love these girls! Robyn, Steph and I stayed in The Woodlands Friday night and went and saw a not so good movie (in my opinion). Then we met up with Shellie and Catherine on Saturday and saw Blindside that evening....a really great movie (in my opinion). We stayed up until 4:30 in the morning because we just have lots to say I guess.

And we even got to play with sweet little John (9 months) who is soooooo darn cute!
This week I've been trying to catch up on all my work because tomorrow Calli and I leave for NEW YORK.....can I hear an AAAAAHHHHHHH! I've been living hour by hour this week with Wes' work party, my work lunch, AWANA Christmas party and now packing! I'm taking my laptop with me and I'm not making promises but I might at least find the time to post some pictures.
I have a feeling whoever sits next to me on the plane tomorrow may feel a little uncomfortable when I start leaning on their shoulder as I slump in my sleep. I'm tired already and the trip hadn't even started.
